Infivision shines again at the 37th Annual Meeting of the European Society of Critical Care Medicine - EIT, More than just Ventilation

At the 37th Annual Congress of the European Society of Intensice Care Medicine held in Barcelona, Spain from October 7 to 9, 2024, Infivision once again unveiled its innovative product Infivision ET1000 and the latest EIT technology, attracting widespread attention. The company's booth at booth 3.29 was the focus of attention at the exhibition, highlighting not only the application of EIT technology in respiratory management, but also its potential for clinical application in the field of heart-related pulsatility perfusion, thus highlighting the application prospects of the technology in diverse clinical scenarios.

Dr. Baldassare Ferro gave a keynote speech

Dr. Baldassare Ferro is the director of ICU from Ospedali Riuniti Hospital, Livorno, Italy. He delivered a special speech entitled "EIT - More than just Ventilation" and highlighted the important role of EIT technology in helping to address clinical challenges, particularly how perfusion signals can be used to process complex cases.

First of all, Dr. Ferro explained in detail the application of EIT technology in pleural effusion or consolidation cases, demonstrating its excellent performance in the management of large hemothorax. EIT technology helps doctors grasp the changes in pleural effusion through real-time monitoring, so as to optimize clinical decision-making.

Secondly, Dr. Ferro explained the application of EIT technology in the exclusion of pulmonary embolism. With the help of perfusion signals, ET1000 can quickly assist physicians to rule out pulmonary embolism, providing critical support for the treatment of patients with complex hypoxemia and saving valuable rescue time.

He also mentioned the use of EIT in the treatment of bilateral lung independent ventilation for focal ARDS. Through real-time monitoring of bilateral lung ventilation, EIT helps doctors adjust treatment strategies, improve ventilation results, and significantly improve patient outcomes.

The Infivision ET1000 device showcased by Infivision demonstrates the continuous innovation of EIT technology. New features include Match View, which helps doctors get a clearer picture of lung ventilation through MI, DI, SI and other indicators. In addition, the device provides a large picture mode, allowing doctors to clearly monitor the condition of the lungs. New parameters such as EIVQ, L/H, and LHI provide more comprehensive decision support to help physicians determine the optimal positive end-expiratory pressure (PEEP) to enhance the effectiveness of lung-protective ventilation strategies.

During the exhibition, the Infivision team demonstrated the ET1000 equipment for the attendees, which attracted the active participation and discussion of many critical care medicine experts.
